Outdoor ceiling lights can be a great way to increase the space in your home, but they’re expensive.
We tested a few different options and came up with the perfect choice.1.
LED ceiling lighting for the patio2.
DIY ceiling lighting with a piece of plywood or wood3.
LED LED ceiling lights for the outdoor terrace4.
LED roof lighting with 2×4 lumber and a piece (or more) of plyboard5.
LED slats from your garage to create an outdoor patio window6.
LED lighting for a large outdoor spaceWe have heard from a lot of people who are looking for something that looks great on the patio.
They can include a small piece of 2×2 plywood, a piece from your outdoor garage or garage door, and a couple of LED ceiling fans to create a large, open space that can be illuminated.
These options are available in several different styles and sizes, but we’ve chosen to include a single piece of 4×6 wood and a single 4×8 sheet of ply to create our new outdoor terracotta roof.
To make this project easy and affordable, we also used a 4×2 wood slat to create the roof.
This is a great alternative to using a 3×3 sheet of wood or 3×4 sheet of lumber, since these can be assembled quickly and inexpensively.
For a more complete look at the DIY project, see our tutorial.1) Start with a 4 x 6 piece of wood2) Cut the slats to length and shape the corners3) Attach a piece or two of ply on top of the slat4) Attaching the slatted section to the sheet of 4 x 8 wood5) Attached the sheet to the 4×1 piece of lumber and attach the ply to the sloped section6) Attachment of a 4X4 wood piece to the roof, complete with slatted roof7) Adding a small 2×3 piece to create more open space on the roof
